Annual report writing

Producing an annual report can seem like a real chore. But tell a compelling story and you’ll get more reward for your year of hard work. Why? Because people will engage with it.

You’ll persuade the people who matter – whether they’re investors, partners, members, employees or anyone else – to keep giving you their support. It’s hard to find a better example to show why words are good for business.

Case study: ICE Annual Report

We helped the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) write their annual report. We also helped put together a summary version to send to their 79,000 members. They wanted a report packed full of facts that cut through the jargon to focus on telling the story of how ICE had performed against its objectives.

It was a big job, so where did we start? First, each division gave us its take on the year. Then we shaped them so that together they painted a bigger picture. Finally, we gave everything a polish and sent it off for approvals. Here’s what our client said about working with us:

“Polon has given us great help and support. We always feel that our work is a priority for them. But I suspect they make all their clients feel like that!”

Ed Horton, Senior Marketing Communications Executive Institution of Civil Engineers

Faced with a deadline and a hundred other things to do it can be hard to know where to begin with your annual report. But you could start by giving us a call for a chat.
